We opt for hot rolled steel as our primary material, a choice made for its remarkable rigidity and strength. In contrast to less sturdy options such as wood or aluminum, steel perseveres resolutely over time. It doesn’t succumb to bowing, warping, or weakening, establishing itself as the unequivocal choice for doors intended to endure for the long haul. With steel as our cornerstone, we meticulously craft doors that not only meet but also surpass your expectations. This ensures unwavering structural integrity and consistent performance throughout their lifespan.

Roll Forming Process

Internal steel doors are typically created through the roll forming process, which involves passing a sheet of steel through a series of rollers to shape it as required.

Design Template

The initial step in making an internal steel door is creating a design template specifying the door’s size, shape, and design, including any panels, windows, or other features.

Sheet Cutting

Following the design template, a sheet of steel is cut to the appropriate size and shape for the door.

Roll Forming Machine

The steel sheet is then fed into a roll forming machine where it undergoes a series of bending and shaping operations to form the door.

Customising Holes and Cutouts

During the roll forming process, the steel may be punctured or drilled to create holes for hinges, handles, or other hardware.

Powder Coating Preparation

Before applying the powder coating, the door’s surface is meticulously prepared by cleaning, removing contaminants, and possibly creating a textured surface for better powder adhesion.

Electrostatic Application

The powder coating material is applied to the door’s surface using an electrostatic gun, ensuring an even layer by attracting the powder particles to the positively charged steel.

High-Temperature Curing

After powder application, the door is subjected to high temperatures, causing the powder to melt and form a smooth, durable coating.

Quality Inspection

Following cooling, a comprehensive inspection is carried out to detect and rectify any defects or imperfections. Additional coating and re-heating may be necessary if needed.

Packaging and Installation

Once the coating process is completed and the door meets quality standards, it is carefully packaged and prepared for installation, ensuring a high-quality addition to your space.

Exploring the RAL Colour System

RAL colours are a standardised colour system that serves to specify and identify colors in various industries, including coatings, construction, and manufacturing. Within the RAL system, there exists a diverse spectrum of colors suitable for powder coating, and each individual color is distinctly identified by a specific code.

The Powder Coating Process for RAL Colours

To apply a specific RAL colour to a steel door through powder coating, we first prepare the door, as outlined earlier in the process. Subsequently, we blend the powder coating material with pigment to attain the desired RAL colour. Using an electrostatic gun, we carefully apply this colored powder onto the door’s surface. Following this step, the door undergoes a crucial phase: heating in an oven. This heating process melts the powder, allowing it to flow smoothly, and ultimately results in the formation of a perfectly even and uniform coating.

A Broad Spectrum of Colour Choices

There are over 200 RAL colours to choose from, including a variety of shades of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink, brown, grey, and white.

Our Standard RAL Colours

9005 Jet Black, 9011 Graphite Black, 9003 Signal White, 9004 Signal Black, 8019 Grey Brown, 7024 Graphite Grey, 7021 Black Grey, 7016 Anthracite Grey, 7009 Green Grey. We can produce to all RAL colours.
